Wayne Rooney Elegido Como El Mejor Jugador De La Liga Premier

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been voted the Premier League's best player in a 30,000 strong Barclays Global Fans Survey.
One in five voters selected the 27-year-old as the first name on their respective team sheets out of all the current crop of top-flight stars, with the England international's Old Trafford team-mate Robin van Persie taking second place with 14 per cent.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard claimed third with 10 per cent, while Luis Suarez was not far behind in fifth in the survey which covered nearly 200 worldwide territories.
Rooney succeeds Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, who was the favourite player the last time the survey was taken, during his playing days at Anfield back in 2008.
"It's great to be recognised by the fans in this survey," said Rooney. "I get messages from fans all over the world so I know how popular the Barclays Premier League is outside of the UK."
However, it's Red Devils veteran Ryan Giggs who scooped the accolade of best Premier League player of all-time, overtaking another club legend Eric Cantona who topped the poll three years ago.
Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry was voted second and Steven Gerrard found himself in third place for the second time, in a different category in 2012.
Despite the recent doom and gloom surrounding the Emirates Stadium, Gunners fans can take solace from the fact that they have two of the top three young players tipped to have the biggest impact on the Premier League over the next five years.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leads the way with 17 per cent of the votes, and Jack Wilshere comes a close second with 13 per cent. Arsenal supporters will just hope that both players are still plying their trades in north London at the end of the five-year cycle.
Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley came in third with eight per cent of the vote.
His exciting development can be put down largely to the influence of Sir Alex Ferguson, who once again topped the poll as the fans' favourite Premier League manager with a whopping 41 per cent.
And, of all the managers to have experienced life in English football's goldfish bowl, former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was the number one choice of coach's that fans would welcome back with open arms.
The 'Special One' as he modestly labelled himself is currently enjoying a stint in the Spanish capital with Real Madrid, after claiming the La Liga title last season, though he has made clear his intentions to one day return to the Premier League, which is sure to please 38 per cent of the voters in 2012.
